OOOOUUUCCCCCHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

I woke up in the middle of the night with an excruciating pain in my jaw. It's BAAAACCCKKK!!!!!! The Trigeminal Neuralgia is rearing its ugly head. It hasn't hurt this bad since I was diagnosed with MS. I am going to wait a couple days to call the neurologist to see if it still hurts. Hopefully this doesn't last too long. It is the worst pain in the world. It hurts so bad you just feel ill. I'm hoping I'll be so busy at work that I won't have time to realize how bad it hurts. Here's hoping!

  1. Oh My Goodness!! I had a pain in my jaw last week and it stopped me cold.. Is it part of MS? Everytime I have a new sensation, I am trying not to think it's MS but I had never had this before.. Did you just start getting it?

  2. Yes, the pain just came on one day and was very consistent. I waited a day and it was unbearable so I went to the dentist and they couldn't find anything wrong and recommended me to an endodontist. I then had a follow up appt with my GP and told her what I thought it was after doing soem research and she ageed and started me on Tegretol and it was almost immediate relief. Meanwhile I had an MRI a day before because of headaches I was having and was scheduled to see a neurologist because of what they found on the MRI. Just a weird twist of fate. The Trigeminal Neuralgia is what gave me a quick MS diagnosis. Thank God.
